I am a first-generation Filipinx-American and grew up with a potent experience of the Filipinx diaspora. My parents worked hard to provide us with a life better than theirs and along the way a lot of our pre-colonial healing traditions were lost on me and in my early 20s was imperative to recover and re-member the ways of Babaylan (Filipinx shaman)
